The incumbents are built for enterprises. Most of this industry isn't one.
A solo investigator running thirty searches a month, a two-person collections shop, a process server who needs one locate when service fails — none of them should be signing an annual contract with a minimum commitment.

A record is a lead. It is not a fact.
Every platform in this category sells "verified" data. Almost none of it is verified in any sense that would survive a deposition. Aggregated records carry stale addresses, merged identities, and same-name collisions, and calling that verification is how people end up garnishing the wrong account.
We rate confidence and we show the source. Cross-referencing across independent sources raises confidence substantially — and it still is not proof. Nothing is verified until someone confirms it in person. That is what the escalation path is for.

Account types are configured so that FCRA-shaped usage is blocked at the API rather than disclaimed in the terms — and accounts that attempt it are suspended.
