Built by people who ran the searches first.
Lodestone Data is a Bullock & Morrow company. It exists because the people who built it spent years paying for investigative data platforms and disliking nearly everything about how they were sold.
Why this exists
The investigative data market is structured for large buyers. Annual contracts, seat licences, minimum commitments, and pricing you cannot find without a sales call. That works for an enterprise running thousands of searches a month. It fails everyone else, which is most of the industry.
It also treats compliance as an afterthought — a checkbox at signup, a clause in the terms, and an audit trail nobody designed for being read. We think that is backwards. The gate is the hardest part of this business to run well, so we built the product around it rather than beside it.
A lodestone
A lodestone is the naturally magnetised ore that made the first compasses work. Not the compass — the thing that makes the compass point. That is the job: not to tell you the answer, but to give you a reliable bearing on where it is.
Structure
Lodestone Data is the platform. Bullock & Morrow is the company behind it. Escalation work is fulfilled by an independent licensed investigative agency under a separate engagement — deliberately separate entities, so that a data platform and a licensed agency do not share a liability surface.
